Offered for sale is an super nice and well documented Colt 1903 US Property pistol. This pistol is wearing its original blued finish and has a serial numbers matching slide. It came from the estate of General William Bing Kunzig. Take note the factory letter was ordered by the Generals son in 2011. There is a ton of info about General Kunzig on the internet. He was instrumental in training Rangers and Commandos for the DDay invasion of Eroupe. He was likely issued this pistol in theater and kept it throughout the remainder of his career. The blued 1903's are much harder to find than the more common parkerized examples. Included with the pistol is a black GO holster and an original copy of Kunzig with his father(also a General) and two brothers. All West Point graduates. Kunzig died in 2008 at the age of 98. Also included are photocopies of various commendations and some papers from his years at West Point. A rare gun tied to a very important General with a storied career and life.
