Description:
You are looking at a Marlin 336 manufactured, and acquired in 1979 for planed hunting, but never made it out of the closet. It predates the cross-bolt safety of later years. The factory preservative lubrivant is visible on the bolt. The owner says it has never been fired, coroberated by examination of the bore and visible portions of the internals with the bolt open. This gun is as stiff as a new rifle taken off a store shelf and cycled by a customer. Examine the pictures carefully. You will find no evidence of mishandling handling or finish deterioration (other than varnish chips on the plastic gripcap) anywhere on the firearm. This is a once in a lifetime find from the great manufacturing era of the J. Marlin Firearms Company.
