Description:
Listed is a Winchester Model 70 std rifle manufactured in 1951 in the desirable 257 Roberts caliber with a mint bore on the 24" barrel, factory correct and unaltered. A seventy year old Winchester model 70 will 97% bluing on the metal surfaces and 98% varnish on the above average fiqured wooded stock, small stains on the right hand side of the buttstock in front of the metal buttplate are noticed under the factory finish? Small handling and storage marks as would be expected on a firearm used but well taken care of by it's previous owner. Factory swivels, correct sights both front and rear and front sight hood is present with the metal buttplate in high condition for the age. The rifle's matching serial number is etched on the firearm's bolt, the floor-plate is clean with the trigger guard showing fading blue on the bottom. An above average Winchester model 70 in the scarce 257 Robert's chambering, a head turning collectable Winchester 70.
