From the AyA : The N° 3 has been AYA’s standard boxlock design since 1960. It is modelled on a Westley Richards boxlock action, brought to Spain by the King brothers. The Anson & Deeley action, the most famous of all boxlock designs, was created by two employees of Westley Richards in 1875, and ever since, Westley Richards guns have defined boxlock elegance. This AyA, sn464320 built in 1975, is a fine upland gun indeed! Weighing a scant 5lbs. 10oz. and balanced perfectly just ahead of the hinge pin, you can carry this gun all day with little fatigue. The 20ga. chambering is known to be deadly on pheasants, grouse, quail, dove, woodcock and all upland game. The condition is 99% factory finish on all metal parts with the wood having finish added sometime along the way. The 27" barrels are tight on the hinge and breech face, have mirror bores, tight ribs,99% blue, and are choked a most useful IC/M with 2 ¾” chambers. The receiver retains 99% vivid bone and charcoal case color and is in perfect mechanical condition with crisp double triggers, auto safety, and excellent screws. These are known to be highly reliable guns, and this one is light as a feather and perfectly balanced.
