Description:
Springfield Civil War musket in fair Cond. Gun is well used and with 1862 date was probably in the war for several years. Stock is solid and not refinished with burnout behind bolster, worn edges, and cartouches also worn off. Lock plate is pitted and stained but markings are still there. Barrel is missing rear sight and also pitting at bolser and tang with date and inspector marks gone. Ramrod is complete with threded tip. Bayonet is in good Condition with slight bend that I bent back after photos. Bore is dark and worn. Rifle displays well and most certainly saw action.
