Iron mounted 54 Cal, smooth bore pistol produced by Simeon North and dated 1822. 1st American Martial pistol ith swivel rammer. Sliding hammer safety and one piece oil finished walnut stock. Defined oval Cartouche on left side of LS in oval. Arsenalconverted to percussion with probable Civil War use as these early percussions were used extensively by State Militias. Condion, Very good with iron being bright. Bore is good with some darkness. Action operates properly. Stock remains full sized with markings being very light and probably thinned at time of conversion. Antique
