This Model 1842 Austrian Musket was one of thousands imported at the start of the civil war. The full length 3 band stock has nice color is in good condition with normal wear dents and chips. The full length barrel has front and rear sights as w ell as a bayonet lug near the muzzle with a approximately 70 caliber bore. All metal parts have a dark blue black color. The only visible markings are a small stamp on the tail of the gun. And I think a date of 1849 on the left side of the breach. One lock screw and the left side metal side plate is missing (see photos). The lock seems to function ok. A great price for a civil war musket. Please feel free to to contact me with any questions.
