Description:
Coach Gun / Saw off shot gun / Street Howitzer / Scatter Gun.  The Coach Gun received its many monikers on the stagecoaches and streets of the Wild West.  Stagecoach companies quickly implemented the use of guards to ride along side the driver carrying a weapon that allowed for some leeway in accuracy as they bounced along the rough trails.  These Cut-down Shotguns were also popular with Marshals and Sheriffs for their mobility and lenient accuracy at close quarters.  The best feature of this gun is the sturdy stock that has stood the test of hard knocks on the dusty trails and has come out with no breaks chips or cracks. The few dings and mars that do appear tell of use and service provided. At one time it was rigged with a sling which is long since gone. Break open the gun to reveal the HELLFIRE spitting barrels. The barrels shows very little blackpowder frost just mostly bright and shiny.  Close and lock the barrels, it is as tight as new! Cock the hammers, pull the triggers and the hammers will fall. Then feel this legendary tool transport you back to the OK Corral or the the stage run to Dead Dog. Features Overall Length: 36 1/2”, with 20 inch barrels and 2 3/4 inch chambers. The steel butt plate was the best choice for this hard working arm.  Marked on the right lock is "W. Richards Belgium” and on the left the same. On the barrels "LAMINATED STEEL". This Coach Gun is in good mechanical working order . Great for cowboy loads and reenacting.
