From the manufacturer: "The M1A™ SOCOM 16 7.62 was designed in 2004 to pack .30-caliber horsepower into a package typically reserved for much lesser guns. A tritium-enhanced front sight combined with a ghost ring rear moves the gun fast even in dim light. Featuring a custom-designed 16.25" carbon steel barrel tipped with a small but efficient proprietary muzzle brake, the SOCOM 16 combines toughness with maneuverability."
This rifle is in excellent used condition showing very little use. The barrel has an excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling and the walnut stock looks great. It is chambered in .308 WIN (7.62x51mm NATO), and also sports the forward scout-style picatinny rail. The stripper clip guide above the breech was removed to accommodate a scope, but it's a $15 part that simply attaches with a dovetail and roll pin, and if you don't intend on loading with stripper clips you don't need it anyway. This is a very nice rifle at a great price, they usually retail around $2000. Comes with one 10-round magazine. Feel free to call or text with any questions.
