Description:
Serial #12718, .450 CF, 7 1/2" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has traces of freckling within the grooves. This is a handsome revolver that matching numbers on the frame, barrel, cylinder, and the interior of the grip panels. The metal retains 90-95% of the original bright, lustrous blue finish with scattered minor handling marks, silvering on the raised edges and projections, as well as mottled gray on the gripstraps. Some mild freckling is also present on the sides of the frame towards the rear. The topstrap has Webley "'WG' TARGET MODEL" marking with the Webley & Scott "Winged Bullet" on the lower left side of the frame, and no retailer marking. The hammer, trigger, and cylinder retention stirrup have some traces of mild freckling on the bright metal while the thumb lever has most of the original blue remaining. The checkered walnut grips are in fine shape with a few minor bruises and handling marks on either panel. The lock-up is still solid and tight, and the action functions flawlessly. This is a lovely example of a desirable WG Target Model, and has an exceptionally high amount of the original finish remaining. It rates excellent overall, and would be a great addition to any collection of fine British firearms. FFL or C&R
