TRULY A RARE FIND! This 1911 has a Colt frame(1918 s/n) and a Springfield Armory slide from the factory! Colt frame marked by Springfield Inspector at Colt plant(Eagle head with S14 underneath). "G" stamp on frame denotes it was made for government contract. "H" stamp by Colt Inspector Francic L. Hosmer(1911-1919). Frame is marked UNITED STATES PROPERTY. Springfield Armory slide is also marked with Colt's mfg patent and a flamimg bomb on the rear of the slide, reverse is marked MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY with a faint Army Eagle crest. S/N: 312466 Bbl: 5" Wt: 2.35 lbs This AMAZING PIECE OF HISTORY has been BEAUTIFULLY REFINISHED by SHOOTER'S EXCHANGE! The metal is in AMAZING CONDITION and has been reblued, and the diamond checkered wood grips all look almost like it did new from the factory
