Up for sale we have a DWM Luger 1914 Model Military semi-automatic pistol in 9mm. Serial number - 9985. Mfg Date 1916. This pistol is in great condition and includes an aluminum bottom magazine. The pistol is completely matching for all parts to include the frame, barrel and all other marked parts, 1916 Dated, DWM (Deutsche Waffen und Munitions Fabriken) WWI Imperial Luger. This is chambered for 9mm and has a standard 4 inch (100mm) barrel with fixed sights and custom grips. This WWI Luger was manufactured for standard issue firearm to the German military. A very unique specimen in great mechanical shape and has an amazing bore with a lot of history! As is clearly evident, this Luger was refinished at some point and now bears a brilliant bright belguim style blue vice the original wartime finish. Additionally, the pistol now what appear to be either bone or stag custom grips. The pistol is well done although it probably would have been worth more as a collectible item had it not been refinished. As it stands now, its rather striking in appearance and quite beautiful, just far from original. These series of Lugers were produced from 1914 until 1918 for the German Military. Could have been a "bring back" that got a little too much love at the local gunsmiths shop. It is priced accordingly! Reasonable offers will be considered.
