Description:
Smith & Wesson Straight Line Target Pistol with blue finish and 10" Bbl, Patridge front sight with Outdoorsman target rear sight. Smooth oil finished walnut grips with S&W medallions. Single shot side swing action with manual pull cocking assembly. 3 digit serial number 398 found on butt, barrel,and locking bolster. Blue finished with S&W address on top of ribbed barrel. Marked 22 lONG RIFLE on right side of Bbl, and SMITH & WESSON on left side of Bbl, Pistol is housed in original Blue finished steel carry case with large S&W monogram stamped into lid. Interior is French fitted with green wool and houses an ajustment screw driver, Cleaning jag and cleaning rod. The lid has a contemporary piece of green felt cut to fit to protect both pistol and case. Condition, Excellent. with 97% blue finish remaining on barrel. Receiver retains 90% blue finish with loses contained to back strap and thinning of finish on front strap. Bore is brilliant bright. Stocks are very good with some period of use impressions and oil staining. Exterior of steel box is superb retaining most all blue finish with underside haveing some minor loss. The screw driver retaining clasp is broken but the parts are remaining. Mechanically excellent. C&R
