Description:
--- PRICE REDUCED TO, $10,500 FIRM --- This Colt M-1911 was manufactured for the U.S. NAVY in 1913. It is one of one thousand delivered to U.S. Navy General Storekeeper, U.S. Navy Yard, Brooklyn, NY on 30 July 1913.
After 112 years it remains in its original condition. It was not an Admirals prize that remained in a drawer for its life. It obviously saw service and it has a pleasing uniform patina that looks much better in person than in my photos. There is a lot of remaining blue finish in sheltered areas.
The bore is excellent as is the bolt face suggesting it was fired very little. I guess there was little occasion to repel boarders.
The barrel is the correct original with the “P H” proofs. It has the original “Keyhole” magazine with matching patina, sure looks original to the pistol. The rear sight is of the early round top variety.
In my opinion the visible service life of this pistol outshines one that had been stashed in a drawer for decades, it just talks to you.
Navy marked M1911’s are very rare and finding one that has not been fooled with and has all original parts is rarer still. This is unquestionably an Investment Firearm. Perhaps the story is not complete, can you find specific history on this old Colt?

SHIPPING:
Normally shipments are made via U.S.P.S. Priority Mail, Insured, with a return receipt. Packing, Shipping and Insurance cost for this handgun is $35.00,
FIREARMS:
Modern firearms, post 1898, can only be shipped to a Type 01 Federal Firearms License address. Curio-Relic firearms, as defined by the BATF list, can usually be shipped to a Type 03 Collectors License address.
A signed valid license copy will be required for shipment to only the license address.

RETURNS:
Returns must be made within 3 days of receipt. They must be received in exactly the same condition with no parts exchanged. If it has been altered, damaged, or fired, a refund will not be made. Packing, shipping and insurance cost will not be refunded. All layaway purchases are returnable for merchandise credit only.
PAYMENT:
Bank check, Personal check, and Money Orders are preferred. Visa and MasterCard are accepted with a 4% processing fee. Checks, both Bank and Personal must clear before the order will be shipped, usually a 2 week delay.
LAYAWAYS:
A 20% deposit is required. Balance is due in 30 days. Deposits are non-refundable and are forfeited after 40 days. Layaway sales are returnable for merchandise credit only.
SALES TAX:
Pennsylvania state sales tax is 6% for in state purchases. The payment of other states sales tax, if applicable, for shipped items is the buyer’s responsibility.
