CIVIL WAR REMINGTON U.S. NEW MODEL .44 CAL. PERCUSSION ARMY REVOLVER CIRCA 1863-64. Six-shot with 8” barrel having the “E. REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, NEW YORK U.S.A./NEW MODEL” barrel address stamp with the Sept. 14, 1858 patent date. All original and complete and matching. Old worn dark patina overall with the grips moderately worn. Ordnance sub-inspection marks on metal parts. Cocks properly but cylinder does not rotate. Dark bore. From a 1940’s-1960’s old Virginia collection of relic Civil War arms from around the area of the Battle of Petersburg. Nice display example.
