This Gebruder Merkel Scalloped Boxlock Shotgun features a Kersetn crossbolt action with cocking indicators, double trigger (adjustable set trigger), engraved coin finish action displays scroll engraving surrounding a roaring red stag and two hinds on the left and a dog and mallard scene on the right, shadow line cheek piece butt stock with fine point checkering on pistol grip with horn grip cap, engraved blued trigger guard, tang lever blued & engraved, Nitro proofed action with import mark, sling swivels, mine multipoint checkered splinter forend with engraved release catch and metal (s/n matching), 16 gauge upper and 7x65R lower 25.5" barrels (marked BOHLER Stahl Weichlot), SUHL proof stamp for April 1959, raised rear U notch sight with raised front bead sight and a hand matted top solid rib. Serial 50123. 16 Gauge
