Description:
A heavily sporterized 1898 Springfield .30-40 Krag rifle. Original stock cut down, replaced front sight blade, rear sights to a Lyman peep sight, and added recoil pad. With the recoil pad the LOP is 13 inches. The receiver has been drilled for a side mounted scope, and there is not a cut-off switch as the rear sight is mounted where it would be. With a possible manufacture date of 1900 both by the serial number and the stock. This firearm has sharp rifling and a defined bore. None
