Description:
This Model 1865 started out with a Stabler cut off but was later removed. Only very faint traces of blue remain, and the balance has a light patina. The mechanical function is very good. The magazine is very good, markings are crisp on this carbine. The three-groove bore is bright with strong rifling but does have traces of corrosion.The sling bar was removed when the Stable cut off was originally installed. The wood has been dinged and lightly sanded. No Cartouche but has Gov. inspector stamps on the major metal parts.
