Excellent overall condition as sleeved (rebarreled). Marked "J Purdey 314 1/2 Oxford Street London". Manufactured in 1874 per page 126 of Nigel Brown's "British Gunmakers Volume One: London". Fitted with a Purdey thumb release, grip safety on the lower tang. The barrel flats have 1989 dated London reproofs. Chambers marked 2 3/4" with extractor, chokes measured improved modified/modified, and 14 3/4" LOP. Nitro proofed
