Description:
Very late 1866 Winchester Saddle Ring Carbine manufactured in 1891. This carbine left the factory as a Centerfire in 44-40. 20" barrel and full magazine tube retain no original blue just a gray / brown patina and areas of pitting. I will rate the bore a 5 on a scale from 1 to 10. Barrel address is still very legible. Nice earlier rear carbine sight. Brass receiver shows it's age with a nice patina. Action functions nicely. Both forend and buttstock are in good condition showing the normal handling marks that you would expect to see from a firearm of this age. Assembly numbers match tang and buttstock. All in all a good used late Centerfire 1866 Winchester SRC. It's getting harder and harder to find 66 Rifles or Carbines so don't miss out on this one. Please feel free to ask questions.
