Description:

A Very Compact Traveling Gamblers Poker Chip Racks. The chips are early steam train and steam ship era “celluloid” poker chips. Housed in a circular dark wooden rack. The “Sharper” would likely produce cards from his vest pocket and this petite chip racks would be waiting in a small leather satchel near by. The rack bespoke of a man who knew his business. The chips would be securely housed in this sturdy round rack with a lid screwed on with a pewter nob to carry and keep every thing neat and ready.

The rack is 7 inches in diameter by 4 1/4 inches tall, with the carrying knob. There are 8 stacks of about  25 chips per stack which are 1 1/4 inches in diameter. That makes for a total of 200 chips. That's as many as most full size chip racks would have.  The chips in colors: 25 red, 25 blue, 25 green, 25 purple and 100 white. The chips have no markings. They are not chipped or cracked. Fully loaded these weigh about 2 lbs

It is a wonderful traveling gamblers set. The rack is in very nice condition. To find such a nice set is very unusual. I have included 1 set of old cards.
