Description:
This is a 1903 Sporter U.S. Springfield armory rifle rechambered to 300 win mag. It features a beautifully curly maple stock with French cut checkering. This stock does need to be properly fitted to the barrel. It looks to have been fitted by a home gunsmith. It has a Fully hand engraved trigger guard and floorplate with a silver bear inletted into it. IT also has a Timney sportsman trigger installed and a leupold scope base. When I removed the base I noticed that the front of the receiver has an additional two plugged screw holes from a previous mount. This gun has the makings for an absolutely one of a kind hunting rifle with a little more work put into it and is priced as such.
