Offered for sale is a very nice prewar Colt New Service that shipped to JK Carmichael in NYC during 1936. JK Carmichael was known to be a Law Enforcement supplier in NYC. The pistol was special ordered with a 4 lb trigger pull by a gunsmith in Boston. This pistol has its original blued finish and has no issues. The bore is mint. Chambered in the hard hitting 45 Long Colt this was Colts premier large frame service revolver of the day.
This pistol does show signs of firing but little carrying. The straps are a little worn from being held. The grips are very solid and correct for the gun.
Overall a very nice example of one of the most popular DA Colts to collect. Individual shipped and special ordered Colts are always coveted by collectors.
