This is a handsome, 1948-made rifle that has an "OTT" (July, 1948) code on the barrel. The metal retains 97-98% of the original blue, with only some minor areas of silvering at the muzzle and along some of the high edges and projections. A few tiny spots of plum-brown freckling are present on the underside of the receiver as well. The grooved walnut forend and pistol-grip buttstock are in fine shape, with only a handful of minor blemishes marring the original varnish finish.
