Here is an interesting, if rough, old revolver. It's a S&W .44 Russian caliber that has had the barrel cut back to 3&1/2". Metal is well-worn and some pitting shows on the left side of the barrel. Bore is shootable but I don't believe this was intended s a target gun anyhow. The action works fine but the safety notch is gone and needs recutting. Lock up and indexing are ok. The grips are original but look like some previous owner decided to make them smooth by sanding them. Yikes. For some one who likes to tinker there's plenty to do here AFTER THE SAFETY NOTCH HAS BEEN RECUT! Early serial number makes this one an antique that can ship to your door in most jurisdictions. Shipping and insurance included but no returns.
