***SOLD*** Highly desirable transition era, long receiver tang, Winchester Model 64 Deluxe Deer Rifle in 32 Winchester Special caliber (32 W.S.)
S/N 1394465 made in 1946.
Excellent original condition throughout showing nearly perfect deep, bright bluing other than a few scattered rubs and a fine scratch on the left receiver wall. The steel widow's peak buttplate shows some typical wear and light oxidation.
The wood set is in similar shape, with its rich and finely checkered stocks showing a few expected light handling marks, but nothing too noteworthy beyond a small patch of shallow scrapes near the heel as shown.
I would rate the finishes at an honest 96-97% which I think is very conservative compared to many seller's standards!
The 24" barrel has a bright, minty bore, and the mechanics are smooth and crisp.
Factory robust detachable swivels are included.
This is a very fine rifle by any standard, but especially considering its 82 years of circulation!
