1874 Mfg. Colt SAA Artillary model wearing a 5.5 inch barrel and chambered in .45 Colt. U.S. marked frame . Gun is from first U.S. Army order of 5000 Colt SAA revolvers for U.S. troops to be used in the Indian Wars in the American West. Numbers are typical mismatched as found on Artillary Colts rearmored in the 1890s. Faint HN inspector marks on gun from US Army inspector. Antique Elephant Ivory grips. Action is smooth and tight and cycles as intended. A great piece of shooting history from our U.S. West.
