Description:
Here is a very fine 12 bore Grade XIV Prussian Sauer, built in 1909.  The Krupp barrels are 75cm (29.5") with 2 1/2" chambers and excellent bores, choked .011/.030 (about improved cylinder/improved modified).  The concave matted rib has twin ivory beads.  The scroll-engraved, scalloped action has a cross-bolt fastener and side-clips.  There are intercepting sears, and side-mounted rotary cocking indicators.  Hints of case colors are still present.  The trigger guard is horn.  The fore-end has a Deeley & Edge patent latch release.  The lightly figured pistol-grip stock has a steel grip cap and a skeleton butt-plate.  The stock measures 1 5/8" x 2 3/4" x 14".  The cast is neutral.  The weight is 6 lbs 10 oz.  An excellent early Sauer.
