US Military issued Colt Model 1911 .45 acp pistol for WW1. Inspected by Gilbert H Stewart (GHS)on left side with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on left side of frame. Slide marked "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY" on right side of frame.Standard 2 line address on left side of frame with Rampant Colt in center. Unmarked blue finished military replacement Bbl, short , wide checkered hammer. checkered safety and slide release. Smooth flat main spring housing. Short grip safety and 2 piece brown checkered Keys pattern grips with small renforcements around screws. Mfg, 1915. Parkerized finish applied post WW1 for future military issue during the post WW1 era. With 2 tone Colt magazine with lanyard loop at baseCondition, Very fine with excellent bright bore. Grips are very fine. Pistol retains an abundance of parkerized finish with some edge wear and balance toned to patina. Mechanically excellent. C&R
