The pistol has excellent original metal throughout and retains its original bright factory finish throughout it. There is fine engraving all around the frame. It has a safety slide lever behind the hammers. All screws are excellent. Each of the four barrels has a bore that is 7/16 inches in diameter. The very fine checkered gripa are excellent throughout with fine silver wire decorations from the top all the way to the butt of the gun. The pistol is 9 inches long overall and has 4 inch barrels on it. It has an excellent and very tight as new action on it. You switch from the upper barrels to the lower ones by moving the unique lever,(Tap Lock) on the side up or down. This Is A Very High Condition Example Of An Early 1800's Large Four Barrel Iron Tap Action Flintlock Pistol With A Wonderful Look To It. Early Four Barrel Flintlock Pistols Like This One Are Very Hard To Come By!
