The finish is as new and the ambidextrous controls function as if this pistol is new. This pistol spent most of it's life in a safe as evidenced by the mirror bore. Both double and single action trigger pull is smooth and crisp. If you're looking for a really nice, hi capacity, 9mm for home or personal defense, this could be a great choice.
