1935 mfr. WAFFENSTADT Deutsches SPORTMODELL .22 LR BOLT ACTION Rifle C&R  

DSM-35 German K98 TRAINING Rifle w/SLING

Here we present a German Mauser Deutsches “Sportmodell” Rifle in .22 LR, made circa 1935 in Suhl, Germany. The DSM became one of the most common of the German "training" rifles leading into World War II. Modeled after the K98, this training rifle has a tangent rear sight graduated from 25 to 200. The top of the chamber is dated “1935” and “Waffenstadt Guhl” with a coat of arms device. “BUG” proofs. The barrel is marked “5.4mm” and the type of steel: “ROECHLINGSTAHL”. The top of the barrel is marked “Deutches Sportmodell”.

The overall condition is fine. Original finish. Excellent action. Bright bore. The stock is in fine shape with sharp checkering. Markings are legible. Numbers match. The leather sling is in good shape.
