FLINTLOCK PISTOL SIGNED BUCHAN, DUNDEE, CIRCA 1814 Scotland
This piece has a round iron 4 1/2in. barrel. Total length to the handle is 5 1/2in. The sighting flat is signed 'DUNDEE', shows the Birmingham proofs, solid top flat borderline, engraved bevel-edged lock with stepped tail and signed 'BUCHAN' s between the swan-necked cock and frizzen. It sports a plain walnut full-stock with smooth bag-shaped grip in excellent shape, brass furniture and brass-tipped wood ramrod. Please review the pictures carefully. It appears to be in excellent condition for its age.
