Description:
BRNO ZG 47 bolt action sporting rifle chambered in 30-06 Springfield. The ZG-47 is the last true evolution of the Mauser 98 System. 1957 production date stamped next to the lion proofs. This rifle has a 24" barrel with BRNO markings and caliber on top, fitted with one adjustable standing leaf rear and silver bead front in sleeved-on ramp. Machined solid side wall double square type action with integral scope mounts, is marked "BRNO MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA". Bolt with a downward handle and pear-shaped knob has special shroud incorporating safety mechanism. Bottom metal has hinged floorplate with release in trigger guard bow. The walnut stock is a Monte Carlo pistol grip stock with Schnabel forend tip and checkering at grip and forend. .30-06 Springfield
