The Winchester Model 53 was introduced in 1924 and ceased production in 1932 with about 25,000 produced. The rifle presented here was made in 1926 and is a takedown model. .25-20 WCF

Metal Condition: Shows moderate finish wear and spotty rust with numerous small scratches
Wood Condition: The buttstock appears to have been sanded and refinished at some point in time. The fore end also shows signs of refinish with subsequent field marks.
