Antique classic U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1873 Trapdoor Rifle. Serial number 203606, manufactured in 1882. 32 1/2" Barrel. Caliber 45-70 Government. Buffington Rifle rear sight graduated to 2000 Yards. 13 1/2" length of pull to original U.S. marked metal butt plate. 1873 dated Breech Block. Original sling swivels on front of trigger guard and upper stock band. Original stock with SWP 1882 Cartouche on left side above trigger and the Circle-P firing proof behind the triggerguard tang. Very Fine overall condition with beautiful aged patina finish overall, wood has not been sanded or refinished and retains excellent wood to metal fit(See photos). Nice and tight action. Excellent bright and shiny bore with no rust or pitting retaining clean, crisp rifling. Antique, does not require FFL for shipping to most areas of the US.
