Offered for sale is a estate fresh 1897 Riot Shotgun. The last owner had it in the family since the 1920's. They were Iowa Bankers and according to the notes this shotgun was issued to the locals during the times of rampant bank robberies and gang violence. Bonnie and Clyde were involved in many robberies in Iowa! The shotgun is totally original and has not been touched up or refinished in any way. The bore is bright and clean. I dont think the shotgun has been fired much based on the crisp action. The unsanded wood is quite nice as well. The shotgun does have a bit of freckles on the receiver as seen in the pictures. The typed up story on the shotgun was taped to the stock by the former owner. I choose not to remove it.
