Description:
This is a Winchester Model 71 (pre-64) lever action, standard rifle in 348 WCF caliber. It was manufactured in 1954 and comes with 24" barrel and metal factory butt plate. Overall, it's in very good to excellent condition considering it's 70 year age. Functions perfectly. All metal surfaces excellent (95%+) with no bluing wear, mars, or scratches. Wood is about 85%+ with minor handling marks, small flaking on finish or superficial/cosmetic. Consistent with use. (See pictures.) There are no cracks or deep gouges in the forend or buttstock. Rifle has its original finish and metal has not been reblued nor wood refinished. Very nice rifle overall.
It comes with the following loaded ammunition, empty brass, and bullets (see picture):
-2, 20-round boxes Winchester with 200 gr. Silvertip bullets.
-1, 12 round *vintage box Winchester with 200 gr. Silvertip bullets + 8 empty cases .
-1, 20-round box Winchester reloads.
-1, 20-round *vintage Winchester box - brass only.
-1, 20-round *vintage Remington box - brass only.
- Green plastic ammo case with 33 reloaded rounds (52 gr. H-414, 200 gr. bullets).
-1 box (80 count) Speer 180 gr. Softpoint reloading bullets.
(That's 105 loaded rounds, 48 empty brass, and 80 reloading bullets, total. *Note: Vintage boxes tattered/missing end flap, etc.)
This rifle belonged to my 97 year-old father-in-law who unfortunately had to move into assisted living and cannot keep.
TOTAL shipping cost of BOTH rifle and ammunition to lower 48 states including full insurance, my FFL dealer's transfer fees is $100. This should be included with total remittance for rifle/ammunition. Rifle will ship directly from my FFL Dealer to Purchaser's FFL Dealer. Ammunition will be shipped directly to Purchaser via UPS by me.
Preferred method of payment is U S. Postal money order(s) and shipments will be made immediately. Bank cashier's check is also acceptable but could delay shipping a few days until check clears my bank.
