Description:
Antique US Model 1866 Springfield 50-70 caliber rifle. This is the 2 band version with a 32 inch barrel (29 inches to the breach block) and 48 inches overall. The breach block is marked 1866. The functioning 2 click tumbler lock is marked US Springfield 1864 and has the the number 7 indicating a rack or unit number. All metal parts are a smooth grey brown color. Both front and rear sights are present. The dark walnut stock is in very good condition. Both sling swivels are missing. This antique is in very good condition.
