Boss & Co. SLE 12ga SxS shotgun, manufactured in 1913. The Boss shotgun needs no introduction, featuring some of the finest gunmaking and craftsmanship in the world. This particular Boss features lovely walnut furniture with original finish, all-original color case hardening and blued barrels, stunning English rose and scroll engraving, and a Boss patent single trigger with seamlessly fitted sidelocks. This Boss was originally built in 1913 as part of a pair, and this gun (Gun #1) made it back to Boss for consignment and sold in the late 1940s, a custom Boss case was made for this gun at the time of purchase, and it was kept in the same family and well cared for until it came to the Orvis Gun Room. The gun is in spectacular original condition with only miniscule handling marks and small scuffs. The action is tight and solid, and the bores are immaculate. The gun has been test fired to confirm function of the original Boss single trigger. We have paper records for this gun from Boss on hand, please contact if interested.
