Custom Mauser 98 .257 Roberts. An unattributed custom rifle, features include a 22-inch sporter barrel (recessed crown), rust blue finish, jeweled bolt body/extractor/follower, checkered bolt knob (two panels), two-position safety, relieved trigger guard and a tuned trigger. A Redfield base with Burris rings (1-inch low) is attached. STOCK: Crafted from a AA-grade English blank, dressings include wrap checkering highlighted with diamonds and ribbons, scalloped cheek rest with shadow line, skeleton grip cap, sling swivel studs and a Pachmayr recoil pad. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 7.4 pounds with mounts and the length-of-pull is 13.35 inches. CONDITION: The bore is strong and bright. Metal and wood finishes each exceed 95 percent with but gentle indications of being afield. The price is firm and layaway is available. $2,250 plus shipping.
