Description:
Sarasqueta Deep Relief Engraved Sidelock chambered in 12 Gauge. Ejector self-opening double shotgun with 28-inch chopperlump with narrow matted game rib. The Makers name, address, and steel type engraved on the barrels. The barrel flats are stamped with Spanish Nitro proofs for 2 3/4 inches chambers. It has an H&H type self-opening assist spring. It features a Coin finished action w/ automatic safety, hidden third fastener, bushed strikers, side clips, hand detachable side locks and double triggers (front articulated). It is engraved with deep chiseled acanthus which outlines dogs and birds on front of lockplates. The action is stamped "Made in Spain" on left side. The scroll engraved trigger guard is engraved "JMA" on the tang. An inlaid gold crown is on top lever. It has a lightly marbled and figured European walnut straight grip buttstock that measures 14 1/4 inches over a "Silver" type pad. Stock features drop points & point pattern grip checkering. It has a matching splinter ejector forend with Anson release. The barrel measurements are Bore Diameter: R .726", L .725". Restriction: R .012" (IC), L .030" (FULL). Min. Wall Thickness: R .028", L .030". The stock measurements are DAH: 2 3/8". DAC: 1 7/16". LOP: 14 1/4". The Cast is neutral. It weighs 6 lb. 15 oz. This shotgun appears to be nearly how it left the factory with only a few minor marks in finishes. The bores are bright & shiny. It is mechanically good. 12 Gauge
