The Springfield barrel is S P stamped on the barrel lug. The bore is bright with sharp lands. All of the small parts are correctly stamped with a small "S". The magazine has the Springfield folded floor plate. The original finish would rate a 80% condition. The lettering and stamps are sharp and clear. The action works fine with no issues. The wood grips are in fine condition. The diamond points are still intact with very little flattening in areas. These Springfield Model 1911's saw hard service and use. It is very difficult to find a Springfield in original condition with all of the parts marked with the "S".
