Description:
This 1967-68 Over/Under shotgun is a Winchester (Olin Kodensha Co. Ltd) Model 101 chambered in 12 Gauge (2¾ inch). It has 26 inch ventilated textured rib barrels, a fixed brass bead front sight, a single selectable trigger, a 14 inch LOP, is 44¾ inches in overall length, a diamond checkered fore arm, a diamond checkered pistol grip stock, a steel pistol grip cap with a "W" logo, and an original black hard plastic butt plate. The left side of the barrel is marked "MODEL 101–WINCHESTER-12 GAUGE-2¾"/MADE IN JAPAN" and "MOD" on the top barrel, "IMP. CYLD" on the bottom barrel. There is also a "5" and "NK" encircled proof mark on the barrel mechanics. The underside of the barrel is marked "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL." The receiver is marked "Olin Kodensha/Co.Ltd". The receiver and trigger guard are engraved with an elegant floral scroll pattern. The bottom of the barrel water table, the inside of the forearm, and the upper tang of the receiver are all marked "112043". The bluing shows significant thinning overall, with loss at the muzzle and various places along the barrels; the receiver bluing is in very good condition, however. The wood butt stock is in fairly good condition, with several noticeable dents and a few shallow scratches in various places. The bore is very bright and shiny, with no observable rust or erosion. 12 Gauge
