Description:
Very scarce 14 inch octagon barrel which is confirmed with both Winchester and ATF letters. Most short rifles and trappers get used quite hard. This one is probably a bit better than most. All metal is a brown/gray patina with some pitting along the forearm. Original ladder sight with one ear broken off and missing the slider. Original German silver front sight. Gun also has a dust cover. The wood is surprisingly a little better than normal. Buttstock is missing a chip on the left side. The usual gouges scratches and dings. Also a couple of letters on the right side that I can't make out what they are. Forearm is the short wood variety and in pretty good shape. One slight hairline crack coming off the front cap and numerous dings and scratches. You aren't buying this gun because it is a beauty queen but because it is very very rare!
