As you may already know this was built and sold in April 1971 to a (name redacted) with a set of 26 and 28 inch barrel. You will see on the underside of the barrel just in front of the hook, the initials GW, for George Wood a very senior Barrel makers at that time. On the forend iron you will see the initials BD although it may look more like PD. This was the Actioner Ben Delay, who was my old gun making master and so there is every chance I may have made parts of your gun. The gun was stocked by Harold Ben’s brother.  Engraving was done by my old pal Danny O’Brien.
