THE OFFER
WWII Era M1911A1 - Estimated 1944 manufacturing as derived from serial number. Confirmed by parkerized finish which was standard for WWII productions. I see no arsenal rework stamps. There is a hard to see Ordnance department stamp on the right side of the frame behind the grip. There is also an FJA Inspection Stamp below the slide lock and \"P\" & \"H\" Proof marks.
Condition: Very Good
The parkerized finish looks good, there is some pitting on the slide, showing as dark spots, no rust color. There are a few scrapes and scratches on the frame, most notably the long scrape going down from the slide release. The blued barrel has worn leaving a finish that resembles the parkerized finish. The finish on the front strap has worn as well as the backstrap up by the thumb safety. The bore looks good. It is reflective and shows defined rifling.
