Description:
This 1977 square butt target frame double action revolver is a Smith & Wesson Model 14-3 (K-38 Masterpiece) chambered in .38 S&W Special Ctg. It has a six inch pinned and ribbed barrel, a fixed Patridge front sight, a micrometer click adjustable rear sight, a color case-hardened ½ inch wide, curved serrated target trigger, a ½ inch wide target checkered hammer, a 10-groove serrated backstrap and forestrap, and Magna style checkered walnut stocks. The barrel rib is serrated to reduce glare. The left side of the barrel is marked "SMITH & WESSON". The yoke cut is marked with the serial number and model number 12K5187 / MOD. 14-3. The right side of the barrel is marked "38 S.&W. SPECIAL CTG.". The sideplate is marked with the "S&W" trademark logo, and below the cylinder, the frame is marked with the four line "Marcas Registradas" address. The bluing on this revolver is in excellent condition, showing virtually no handling wear. The checkered S&W emblem stocks are in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or handling wear noticeable. The bore is very bright and shiny with excellent rifling intact and no erosion. It comes with the original factory blue box, oil paper, Owner's manual, tools, and other paperwork. The condition of this revolver makes it very desirable to add to an S&W collection.
