Description:
This is a fine condition Savage model 99 EG from 1951, with S/N 5968XX and lever code 23C. It has a period Lyman 57 SA receiver sight that is mounted in the factory D&T holes, and a Marble blank in the barrel dovetail. The bore is excellent in the 24" barrel, that is chambered for 300 SAV. caliber. The original factory blue finish would rate 95% or better for the entire rifle, with the exception of the carry area on the underside of the receiver. The factory walnut stocks are in great shape, with sharp checkering, and have not had sling lugs added. I beleive the butt stock may have been very lightly cleaned, as it still fits proud to the original steel butt plate.Quite a nice original example for your collection. $1100.00.00 Shipped and insured through UPS, from my FFL to an FFL on your end.
