Here's a Handsome Example Presentation Colt 1911 presented to Senator of Iowa Bourke B. Hickenlooper! Colt 1911 serial number C88157 . Comes with a book that was written about Senator Hickenlooper . Can't post all the pages . Book has his biography a letter from President Nixon ! His Military history , etc. he was born in Blocklon , Taylor County , Iowa on July 21, 1896. Went into WW1 in early 1918 was a 2nd Lt. in 339 Field Artillery, 88th Division. Became a Lawyer . Served on the House of Representatives in Iowa till 1933 and in 1934 Became State House of Representative till he got Elected as a Republican in 1944 to U.S.Senator of Iowa ! He kept the seat up into the 1960's . He was a true Patriot of The U.S. ! He served the U.S. all his life ! Colt 1911 is full coverage engraved in a beautiful flowing schroll engraving . Even the magazine bottom is engraved . Gun has all of its Nickel Finish still remaining! Gun locks up tight. Bore and mechanics are in excellent condition. Excellent working condition. Gun comes with carved Ivory grips original to this gun . The carving is Fantastic! Grips are in excellent condition ! Comes in a beautiful display case . Comes with the book .
